I Just. Don’t. Know.

What’s with the photo? I don’t know …

The older I get the more I realize how much it is that I do NOT know.

I always thought someone knew the answers. Maybe it wasn’t all in one person, but the answers were always out there somewhere. Weren’t they?

And now? We think we are so special, so far ahead of our ancestors, so wise, so advanced. But I wonder, if we had a chance to talk to our great-great-great-great grandmother and show her what the world has become, once we got past the “world in my pocket” technology stuff, would our worries be much different from hers?

“Are we going to be able to pay our bills? Are we going to have enough to eat? Is the neighbor having an affair with the butcher’s wife? Is an asteroid going to come down from heaven and destroy us all? Do these pants make my butt look fat?”

Same stuff. Different era.

About Kimberly Mason

As a freelance outdoors writer and photojournalist I have the privilege of meeting people while they are doing what they love and to listen to them talk about their passions. I live a Creative, Joy-filled Life in love with God, all creation and my neighbor (that means you). It's my vocation. I hope that one day, if I practice long and hard enough, I might get good at it.
