Port Orchard & the Tall Ships

My granddaughter and I took a drive up to Port Orchard on Thursday to see the Tall Ships, the Lady Washington and the Hawaiian Chieftain.

We started with a look from the observation deck at the Port Orchard Marina.

And then moved down to see the foot ferries.

Captain Chesty ... interesting name.

General Chesty … interesting name for the Kitsap Foot Ferry.

And then headed for the Tall Ships.

After touring the ships we headed over to the marina next door and hopped into a pair of kayaks, courtesy of a friend, and paddled back to the tall ships to watch them leave the docks and head out for a mock battle. (Click on any thumbnail image to bring up the gallery of photos.)
