Alpaca Ranch Revisited: a Pictorial Parade

DSC_0214_4I had a great time visiting with Bobbie Hunhoff at the Stellagarth Alpaca Ranch earlier this month. I took so many adorable photos of the fuzzy critters that I sent a whopping 15 photos into the newsroom for them to choose from (photogs normally send in just 3 to 5 photos).

  1. The interesting insect you found with the long stinger-looking tail is an ichneumon wasp, commonly known as a stump stabbler. It is a she and the stinger is actually an ovipositor. She uses it to lay eggs in rotting wood.
